▪Channels : 8
▪Channels selected by : Software (uses 3 digital output lines)

Digital input/output:
▪Number of bits : 24
▪Arranged as : groups of three 8 bit ports (A, B & C) port C can be divided into two 4 bit ports
▪Software configured by using a 4th control port
▪Drive current-output : Ports A & C = 200uA source, 1.7 mA sink / Port B = 1mA source, 1.7mA sink

Counter:
▪Input range : 8 bits
▪Bits : 12, divide by 4096
▪Type : CMOS, user configurable

Note 1
Conversion time depends on many factors such as type of system, system clock, bus speed, language used etc.. In general, the conversion time will approximate the time needed to access 12 memory locations, plus the time required by the algorithm to convert the binary numbers 0 to 255 to voltages 0 to 5. Using basic the read rate may be as slow as 4 readings per second, whereas using an efficient machine code routine a sample rate of over 10,000 readings per second can be achieved.

Sample programs are included on 1.44 Meg floppy for several languages including basic.

Model 30 accessories:
▪Ribbon cable with connectors (RC-3 & RC-6) - provides easier access to user interface connections.

▪Hi-current drivers (IC-30) - 7 channel, 50 volt driver for control of high current loads such as relays, stepper motors. Replaces counter IC.

▪64 screw terminal interface (ST-64) - requires ribbon cable with connectors (RC-3 or RC-6)
